WiM WA’s International Women’s Day Breakfast

WiM WA’s International Women’s Day breakfast this year will hit the right note as we introduce you to our guest speaker, Bourby Webster.

Founder and CEO of the Perth Symphony Orchestra, Bourby Bourby has never let being a woman hold her back from anything she’s set out to achieve.

She has a music degree from Oxford University, and is a graduate of the Royal College of Music. She has an MBA from UWA, and has been a winner of a 40 Under 40 award for Entrepreneurs and a finalist in the Telstra Business Woman of the Year Awards. She was a founding member of the UK-based electric string quartet BOND, signed to Decca Records. She is a medal-winning, international-level rower.

She is a passionate believer in creating opportunities for other women, and two years ago instigated PSO’s Women on the Podium program – a unique conducting and leadership program targeted at female Western Australian musicians.

For this year’s International Women’s Day Breakfast, Bourby will be in conversation with arts journalist, author and speaker, and Co-Managing Editor of Seesaw magazine, Rosalind Appleby.

To conclude the morning’s event, Bourby will perform with a special guest – stay tuned!
